| Side Saddle Association Seminars |

Judge and Instructor Seminars are held every year in different areas to ensure as even a geographic
spread as possible. Some Seminars count towards the British Horse Society (BHS) Continual Professional
Development Days (CPD) if you are a BHS Accredited Professional Coach.

Whilst the programmes are designed as refreshers to cover pertinent standards and policies relating to the activities of Judges and Instructors, all members are welcome to attend. Topics include for instance:
- Ringcraft, procedure & safety
- Side saddle fitting, judging comments and use of a marking sheet
- Judging & teaching equitation jumping
- Improving the novice side saddle rider
- Judging an Equitation Class with a large number of competitors
- Judging the Classical Ladies Side Saddle Qualifier and Final
- Interpreting the Rule Book
- Open forum/discussion

| SSA Area 5 Judges & Instructors Seminar |
|
On Saturday 16th April Area 5 held a Judges and Instructors Seminar at Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire. The focus of the Seminar was an interactive day looking at how the rider can affect the side saddle and how the side saddle affects the horse and the rider depending on its fitting.
